Reyna Tropical- Niña

A mix of rock, reggaeton and cumbia (Colombian song and dance), the group Reyna Tropical brings us the amazing song Niña, part of their first EP. Created by two Mexican artists (Reyna and Sumohair) Reyna Tropical record all of their songs during improvisation sessions in the studio.

Bob Marley- Positive vibration

One of the most peaceful men on earth, Bob Marley always brings us a message of love through his music. I have always been impressed by his ability to do the right thing at the right time in order to get the message through.

Take his concert in Zimbabwe in the seventies, in front of select media members and political dignitaries. As the large crowd that amassed in protest managed to break through the gates and threw teargas The Wailers and Bob Marley were all forced off stage. But as the others returned to the hotel Bob Marley went back up on stage and sang "Zimbabwe". The next day Bob Marley and the Wailers went back and played a free show in front of 80 000 people.

Atmosphere- delicate

Mi Vida Local is the latest of the nine albums released by the rapper and producer duo Atmosphere. The entire album is worth a shout but Delicate stands out as one of the most mature songs ever written by the rapper Slug. He discusses more adult themes like mortality and your legacy on an old school hip hop beat. Definitely a good song to have banging in your headphones.

C2C- F.U.Y.A

C2C is a french group composed of 4 DJs, two of them having formed the famous collective Hocus Pocus (which I highly recommend). F. U. Y. A was filmed in a classical 12th century church which breaks with the theme of the songs which has many east-asian musical inspirations. Enjoy!

A Colors show: Lomepal- Tout Lâcher

French artist Lomepal brings us an amazing performance of his song Tout Lâcher, about letting everything go and stop caring about modern day life.

Colors is one of the best music channels out there with a widely international crowd of guest artists and alternative music. If you haven't subscribed yet I seriously encourage you to do so.

The Blaze- Territory

The duo The Blaze is one of my personal favorites of 2017. Their music and clips both bring out passion and sensations, by mixing deep bass dotted with high notes. This makes The Blaze perfect for any situation, wether your looking out the window of a train or in a late night event.

The video of Territory directed by the duo themselves (who are in fact cousins) gives a sense of extreme relief and a youth giving us a new perspective on a "softer" masculine stereotype. It was shot in the city of Alger giving us a slight glimpse of a culture which sometimes seems so foreign to me.

Jimi Hendrix- Acoustic Guitar

(Hear my train coming & Hound dog)

Two rare videos of the legend Jimi Hendrix playing acoustic guitar. There's honestly not much to say about Hendrix (obviously in a good way) when you see him play. There's a groove about him and a breathtaking mastery of the guitar which I still haven't found anywhere else. Once again: LEGEND

Queen- Live at Live Aid (1985)

When you see Queen's performance of

Bohemian Rhapsody/Radio GaGa/ Hammer to Fall you can clearly understand how the group (and Freddy Mercury especially) became such a legend. Their energy on stage and the ability to move the crowd gives us one of the biggest live performances in music history.
